One of Anton’s final projects, Porto, is set to contend in this year’s San Sebastian Film Festival New Directors competition. Here is the synopsis of the film:

Jake and Mati are two outsiders in Porto who once experienced a brief connection. A mystery remains about the moments they shared, and in searching through memories, they relive the depths of a night uninhibited by the consequences of time.

The 64th San Sebastian Film Festival will run from September 16th to 24th. You can read the full details of the 2016 lineup at Variety.

Here is a link to a Comicon video with Benedict Cumberbatch where he pays tribute to Anton. So lovely of him to do this:

Jasper, just a note to tell you how grateful I am that you’re keeping this site. Anton seemed to have such an incredible effect on so many people, myself included. He brought such enthusiasm, insight and humanity to every one of his projects — but more importantly, he seemed like such a kind, humble, genuine person. I don’t follow many celebrities, but Anton’s name in the credits has always made any movie a “must-see” for me. It seems so strange to admit that I’m actually grieving his loss. It truly feels like a shining light has gone out. I still can’t believe we won’t get to witness everything he could have become. But there are clearly many who feel this way, and your work on this site allows us to continue celebrating his rare and considerable gifts. Thank you for everything you’re doing — he should never, ever be forgotten.
